Maximise the benefits from the 2024-27 Works for Queensland Program. The ambitious initiative, with a budget of $300 million, aims to support the 65 councils outside of South East Queensland. Applications close on the 5th of July 2024 and all projects funded through the program must be completed by the 30th of June 2027.

When conducting externally funded projects, Councils must diligently monitor expenditures to prevent any inadvertent overspending. It is crucial for inputs to be accurately costed and charged to the project. This involves verifying plant hire rates, including appropriate overhead costs, and accurately allocating wages overheads to the project.
